Founded in the year 1955, by the late P.V. Paulose Vaidyan, at Keezhillam, Perumbavoor, Parathuvayalil Hospital had a very humble beginning. From a facility to treat 4 in-patients then, the hospital has grown to day to remain a modern referral centre with multi-specialty divisions, offering health care solutions in Ayurveda as well as modern medicine, with facilities to treat 100 inpatients. The hospital’s unique practice of combining the healing touch of Ayurveda with modern medical diagnostic technology has resulted in accenting the efficacy of the treatments given in the hospital. The modern medicine and diagnostic department are
headed by Dr. Prasanna Pathrose.

The hospital won global fame for its orthopedic treatments. The hospital has a trail-blazing history of treating many orthopedic conditions without surgical intervention. The hospital also started the new tradition of using casting after the correction of the disc location, so that the patients can have the quick recovery .This also helps the patients adapt to the hectic and modern lifestyle.

Parathuvayal Hospital won country-wide recognition when it turned India’s first ISO 9001:2000 accreditation. Efforts are on a fast pace to win NABH accreditation, as the hospital aims to emerge as a centre of excellence in health care.
